A broken sewer line no longer means a trench across the yard. Progressive lines the pipe from the inside, through a cleanout, and the lawn, driveway and landscaping stay exactly as they are.

Sewer repair without the backhoe
Older Triangle homes were plumbed with clay, cast iron or Orangeburg sewer lines, and all three eventually crack, shift or fill with roots. The traditional fix is to dig up the line, and the driveway, the patio and the mature trees along the way. Trenchless sewer repair installs a new, jointless pipe inside the old one through an existing cleanout or a single small access point.
How it works
- Camera inspection finds the break and confirms the pipe can be lined.
- Cleaning with high-pressure jetting and root cutters clears the line to sound pipe.
- Lining: a resin-saturated liner is installed and cured in place, forming a new pipe that seals cracks and shuts roots out for good.
- Verification on camera.
Why Progressive
We run one of the Triangle's largest commercial pipe lining operations, and the same crews, cameras and lining systems that rehabilitate hospital and hotel sewers repair residential lines. Flat-rate pricing, licensed plumbers, and a camera video of the finished pipe for your records.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my sewer line can be lined?
A camera inspection tells us. Most cracked, root-intruded or corroded lines can be lined; a fully collapsed section needs a spot repair first.
How long does trenchless sewer repair take?
Usually one day, with water use limited for a few hours during the cure.
Is it cheaper than digging?
Once you count the driveway, landscaping or patio that a trench would destroy, lining is usually the lower total cost, and it is always the faster and cleaner option.
