For most models, we suggest replacement every 8-12 years. That’s a long time, and operating year round will take its toll on any home appliance. To ensure your heat pump lasts until that 12 year mark, call one of our expert HVAC technicians today for a maintenance check-up and ensure year-round our system is operating at peak capacity. A regular inspection can go a long way towards extending the life of your current heat pump system. Diagnosing a small issue can prevent greater damage in the future. Modern heat pumps don’t use combustion to create heat. Instead, these heat pumps use an electrical system to transfer heat from the environment around it into your house and vice versa. Failing to maintain the pump can result in the heat pump overworking itself, leading to greater problems and eventually, a total burn out. Maintaining efficient airflow is key for any heat pump system. Our technicians are trained to diagnose a variety of common issues that can impact airflow and overall performance: - Weak airflow - Leaky ducts - Low refrigerant/incorrect refrigerant charge Letting these issues continue can compromise your heat pump system and could necessitate the installation of an entirely new system. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and for good reason. You don’t want to be stuck in the middle of a heat wave without proper airflow. Progressive has 24/7 emergency service to assist you at all times. Our technicians are trained on all of the major HVAC brands, including Carrier, York, Amana, Rheem, Goodman, Trane, and more. ### Need an expert today? Same-day service. Flat-rate pricing.
